Weddings can be a big investment for guests--there are the gifts, travel, accommodations, and formal attire--so this week I've picked out a number of dresses that play into the bohemian dressing trend. It's about channeling this glamorous 1970s carefree spirit through light and loose dresses in exotic colors and intricately detailed prints.
The whole look will pull together if you stick with details that are a little rough around the edges and use natural elements, like sueded leather and feathers, to complement the tone of the dress. For a formal occasion, select one or two choice statement jewelry pieces, a cardigan in a contrasting length, and strappy sandals. Then for everyday, the options are endless! Wear it with a trend piece like the long faux fur vests that are popping up everywhere; or try a shearling coat, leggings, and flat boots; or with wooden wedges and a floppy felt hat.
Today's inspiration board is actually an introduction to our new sister site, DressMob. If you saw the Shiny Orb relaunch announcement, you'll know that we've moved our non-wedding apparel over to DressMob. Now, Shiny Orb is more focused on weddings than ever.
